1.5 million dollars in funding is being made available by the province to support healthy lifestyles among males.
Announced yesterday in honour of Father’s Day, the funding will go to the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation.
The fresh funding comes following an extremely successful “Don’t Change Much” campaign that saw 72 percent of men involved report health improvements.
The campaign brought in celebrity athletes and food experts to provide advice and recipes.
Funding will go towards the expansion of current programs, including an online risk assessment tool and a community-driven program which focuses on Indigenous health.
