The BC River Forecast Centre says an atmospheric river storm event is expected to hit Vancouver Island and the south coast.
The wet weather is expected to dump from 50-160mm of rain in the regions Sunday and Monday.
While the Central Coast is expected to get between 40-60mm of rain, officials say the track of the atmospheric river could shift, possibly putting the most rain on the Central Coast rather than Vancouver Island.
High streamflow advisories have been issued for the Central Coast, including the Kingdom River, Bella Coola River, and surround areas.
The River Forecast Centre says it will monitor conditions and update advisories as needed.
