The Ministry of Transportation says Highway 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert is now open to both lanes of traffic
Officials closed the route in both directions 13 km east of the Port Edward turnoff to 35 km west of Terrace due to high avalanche risk Tuesday morning.
It’s the third avalanche closure of this section of Highway 16 in the last couple of weeks.
