Highway 37 will be seeing road improvements as part of the B.C. on the Move initiative to improve the province’s transportation infrastructure.
The province is spending $200,000 to reconfigure the intersection of Highway 37 and Haisla Boulevard.
Improvements will include better sight lines for drivers, and increasing the turning radius for large vehicles turning on to Kitamaat Village Road.
The project is in the design phase and work is anticipated to start later this summer.
It’s part of $30 million the ministry is investing over the next three years in intersection safety improvements in communities throughout B.C.
