No one is saying much of anything after the Fairview terminal in Prince Rupert was shut down on the weekend.
Port official are describing the situation by calling it “the incident”, but are saying nothing more.
DP World released a statement saying 11 people had been sent to hospital for respiratory and eye irritation, who have since then been released.
It appears Sunday morning something triggered an evacuation of the yard and a safety team was brought in and conducted tests on a container. Officials says no contaminants were found and that the incident was contained on site.
An external port hygienist was also brought in and carried out an assessment and monitored the air.
By 4:30 Monday morning the “incident” was over and operation are expected to resume Tuesday.
