Kitimat Village has also produced an award-winning author and she’s in line for possibly another accolade.
Eden Robertson is one of five writers who has been shortlisted for the prestigious Literary Giller Prize for her work “Son of a Trickster”.
Not only does the winning writer garner the prestige, they also pocket $100,000. The Giller is the richest literary prize in the country.
Robertson is no stranger to the limelight. She made the cut for the Giller in 2000 for “Monkey Beach”.
Robertson was chosen out of 12 finalists.
The winner will be announced November 20th
