A proposed riverbank camping ban in Kitimat will be delayed until April of next year.
Mayor Phil Germuth says that the delay is out of consideration for those who have already planned trips.
Mayor Germuth says that it is too late in the year to try to force the ban through.
He is also hopeful that more options will be available for campers come next year.
The proposed riverbank camping bylaw was the subject of a public hearing in Kitimat Monday.
