The wildfire at Little Bobtail Lake southwest of Prince George has grown overnight.
The fire now encompasses approximately 13,000 hectares, and fire crews are aggressively trying to contain it.
There are now over 150 firefighters fighting the fire, with 8 helicopters providing support.
Klassen says the Prince George Fire Centre is facing higher than normal drought conditions, and the fire rating is moderate to high.
She says the wildfire risk moving forward largely depends on the amount of rain the region gets in June.
The immediate forecast calls for a continuation of high temperatures, though in the next few weeks it may start to cool down, but those cooling temperatures may bring in winds.
