Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson will retain his position for another 4 years after being elected by acclamation yesterday.
It will be Simpson’s second term as mayor after no challengers stepped forward for the post.
Voters in Quesnel will still face a busy night at the podiums on October 20th, with 11 residents hoping to fill 6 positions on council, and 8 vying for 7 school trustee positions.
A referendum will also be held on voting night which will ask voters whether or not the city can borrow 8.5 million dollars to replace the Public Works Facility.
