North American Indigenous Games kicks off this weekend with opening ceremonies on Sunday.
This year the games will take place in Toronto and features more than 5,000 athletes, 2,000 volunteers and a countless number of spectators and dignitaries from across Turtle Island.
Opening ceremonies were supposed to feature Black Eyed Peas musician Taboo, but due to scheduling conflicts his is no longer able to preform.
This years theme is #Team88, as the 88th recommendation in Truth and Reconciliation Commissions 94 Calls To Action is the for the government to take action on the development of Indigenous sport and athlete development.
The games run until the 23rd of July.
