Students in the Peace Region will now have improved access to trades training thanks to the opening of a new 34 million dollar facility.
Covering nearly 4 thousand square metres, the new state-of-the-art skilled trades training facility officially opened up at the Northern Lights College Dawson Creek campus on Friday.
The new facility will provide 96 new full time equivalent spaces for the College’s carpenter, millwright, plumbing, welding, and wind-turbine maintenance programs.
Funding for the project came from a partnership between the College, the Provincial Government, and the Federal Government’s Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund.
