Customers at Prince Rupert liquor stores will get a friendly holiday reminder from local students.
District 52 elementary students took part in colouring paper liquor bags which feature their creative skills to send a message not to drink and drive.
The bags were picked up from the liquor stores and taken to elementary schools. One week later, they were collected and delivered back out to the stores to be distributed throughout the holiday season.
Acting Officer in Charge at the Prince Rupert detachment, Sergeant Dave Uppal says it’s a positive message that RCMP want to get out to drivers over the holiday season.
Uppal says police are hoping that the bags can make a difference.
