The Nisga’a are casting their ballots in their general election today.
They will be voting for a president, chair person, secretary treasurer and chair of the council of elders.
Electoral Officer Esther Adams says advanced polling attendance has been good.
The Nisga’a has had a number of elections since signing their historic treaty.
Voting goes until 8 p.m. tonight (November 2) and eligible voters can cast their ballots in all of the Nisga’a villages plus Terrace, Prince Rupert, Prince George, and Vancouver.
