Wildfire activity in the area has prompted Northern Health to proactively move patients from Stuart Lake Hospital to Fort St James.
The Stuart Lake Hospital will remain open and residents will have access to emergency services and urgent care.
Transfers are being performed in a priority sequence, with those patients with more complex needs being transfered in advance.
