Northwest river levels dropping

While the flood forecast is worsening in the Okanagan, river levels are easing across northwest and central B.C.

The BC River Forecast Centre has ended a high streamflow advisory for the Bulkley River, including small streams and tributaries around Houston, Telkwa, Smithers and surrounding regions.

A high streamflow advisory for the Nautley River including upstream tributaries from Francois Lake and Fraser Lake has also been rescinded.

Officials say river levels have peaked and are now receding to the point that they are below a level of concern.
