April numbers released by the BC Coroners Service show a 23 percent drop in overdose related deaths.
According to the report, 124 deaths were linked to drug overdoses in Aprils, down from a near-record 161 in March.
Fentanyl remained the largest contributor in overdoses for the month.
Every region other than the Fraser Health Region saw a drop in fatal overdoses for the month.
