Prince George RCMP say an overdue camper has been found safe.
Mounties began looking for 52-year-old Robert Allen Andrist after he failed to return home as scheduled from a solo camping trip started July 1st.
Prince George Search and Rescue was called out Wednesday and conducted an intensive search of an area Andrist was believed to be in.
Police say Andrist was found safe and in good health at about noon.
Prince George RCMP are reminding the public to ensure that they prepare for the conditions and plan for unexpected issues.
They recommend bringing extra clothes, matches, a flashlight, a first aid kit, and water.
Ensure that someone knows your plans before you leave and, whenever possible, don’t go alone.
