Currently, 217 wildfires are burning throughout the territory, with only 35 new fires from yesterday.
The number of evacuees continues to grow with approximately 14,365 people displaced from their homes.
B.C. premier-designate John Horgan says everyone has to come together as a province.
One of the growing issues is air quality as smoke advisories continue.
Dr. Bonnie Henry, the Deputy Provincial Health Officer, says that one of the biggest challenges is that when there is heavy smoke there is usually fire so the people who are most affected are already in the thick of the wildfires.
Residents are being advised to take extra precautions when dealing with forest fire smoke. Dr. Henry is suggesting that people wear respirators to ensure none of the heavy particles in the smoke irritate their lungs.
