The provincial government continued their efforts to renew expriring public service contracts over the weekend.
This time they have reached a tentative agreement with the K-12 support staff, covering over 34 thousand employees.
The newest agreement under the Sustainable Services Negotiating Mandate will cover custodians, maintenance workers, education assistants, clerical staff, and accounting staff.
This is the fifth agreement under the most recent mandate, which aims to come to terms with more than 326 thousand unionized employees in BC, most of which see their 2014 contracts expire next year.
