A new agriculture program seeks to find new customers for BC food exports with the assistance of both the federal and provincial governments.
As part of the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, the new BC Agrifood and Seafood Export Program will run for 5 years with the goal of expanding BC’s agriculture industry.
5 million dollars is being invested in the program which will assist the province’s food producers and processors with identifying, assessing, targeting, and developing market opportunities.
The funding will go towards programs to educate producers, developing a market plan, producing promotional materials, developing research programs, and creating international trade opportunities.
