RCMP looking for man after house and car burn in suspicious fires

The North District Major Crimes Unit is trying to find a missing man after both a home and car went up in flames last week.

Fort St. John RCMP were called out to a house fire in the Charlie Lake area at about 3:15 a.m. March 30th which left substantial damage to the residence.

At about 6:30 that morning, RCMP got a report that the homeowner’s vehicle was on fire along Golf Course Road in the Charlie Lake area.

Investigators are trying to find out where 55 year-old John Banky is.  Banky is described as about 5’9″ tall, weighing 190 pounds, with hazel eyes, and red hair.

Mounties would like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area of either fire scene, Highway 29/Hannaford Road, or Golf Course Road on March 30, between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

RCMP aren’t releasing any more details at this time.
