Prince George RCMP are warning businesses about a rash of recent counterfeit currency surfacing in the city.
Since January 1st, police have received seventeen reports from various businesses about counterfeit cash, particularly U.S. ten, twenty, and fifty dollar bills.
They’ve also received reports of fake Canadian money as well.
RCMP are urging staff of retail businesses to carefully check cash as it is passed, especially larger bills.
