Residents of Prince Rupert can expect to see a popular waterfront trail open up after being closed for 14 years.
The Rushbrook trail is a popular waterfront walking trail that was closed in 2003 due to public safety reasons.
In 2013, the community continued to wonder why the trail wasn’t open to the public, The Rotary Club of Prince Rupert saw the importance of resurrecting the Rushbrook trail project.

Brain adds the importance of including the community in projects like this.
The trail will be closed for two to three months while Bear-Creek Contracting works on the project.
The cost is estimated at $1.1-million with money coming from the Prince Rupert Port Authority, Pinnacle Renewable Energy Group and CN Rail
