A scientist who grew up in Burns Lake will be speaking at an Aboriginal Alumni event at the University of Northern British Columbia.
Doctor Dustin King was one of the top students in his class throughout his time at UNBC and is currently researching the impacts of Alzheimer’s disease at Simon Fraser University.
King says his dad gave him a lot of inspiration to be where he is today.
He says anyone who’s Aboriginal and growing up in smaller towns throughout northern B.C. should know there are no limits to what you can do.
Kings says he’s looking forward to see where his research will bring him down the road.
He will be speaking at UNBC in Prince George tomorrow between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place.
