Yesterday was the first annual National firefighting day for Canada.
This comes at a difficult time for British Columbians as many firefighters are working countless hours to keep BC Safe.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says “We solemnly honor Canada’s more than 1,300 firefighters who have died in the line of duty since the first recorded fatality in 1848, including the 13 who have died this year. We mourn them with their loved ones, friends, and colleagues.”
From CFNR and CFNR News, we’d like to thank every single firefighter and volunteer fire fighters who have aided in keeping us and the province safe.
