Don’t put your shovel away just jet.
After a major snowfall last weekend, Environment Canada has issued more snowfall warnings for areas of the North Coast and interior.
An intense low pressure system will bring heavy snowfall to the North Coast Inland region including Kitimat, Terrace, and Stewart beginning Tuesday afternoon and continuing through the night and Wednesday.
The heaviest amounts will be in Kitimat and Terrace where up to 40 cm is forecast by Wednesday evening. There is also a risk of freezing rain tonight and Wednesday. Over Stewart 20 to 30 cm of snow is forecast by Thursday morning.
Snowfall warnings have also been issued for the Bulkley Valley and the Lakes, North Cariboo, and Prince George with 10-15 cm expected by Wednesday morning.
