One local economy could be in serious trouble as concerns continue to circle the fishing industry this season.

The closure would be to prevent the extinction of steelhead trout.
This gives more bad news to a community already suffering as the Spences Bridge area has already seen multiple businesses shut down due to fading fishing returns.
Thompson-Nicola Director Steven Rice says the closure could be a final nail for a community already suffering economically.
