If you’re offered a deal too good to be true for some high-end camera gear, Terrace RCMP say you should steer clear.
Investigators say they’re probing the theft of some high quality photography and video equipment from a Thornhill home earlier this summer.
Mounties say the theft happened July 1 and that the some of the equipment is European and may have different adapters and formatting than is standard in North America.
The stolen equipment is as follows:
• Canon EOS 6D DSLR Camera
• Canon EF 24 105mm 4.0 IS USM Lens
• Canon EF 20 mm 2.8 USM Lens
• Canon XA30 Professional Camcorder
• Canon XL-A1 Professional Camcorder
Anyone who knows of any unusual sales of expensive camera equipment is asked to contact police.
RCMP are also reminding residents looking to buy second-hand items that they can check serial numbers via the Canadian Police Information Centre (www.cpic-cipc.ca) to determine if it has been reported stolen.
