Terrace city council is one step closer to passing their budget.
The Committee of the Whole recently met to discuss some final changes to the budget that was first presented back in December.
Taxes are expected to go up three per cent.
That adds up to a $45 increase for homeowners with a house valued at 300-thousand dollars.
Terrace Mayor Carol Leclerc says there are a number of projects included in the budget.
One includes Munroe Avenue getting redone between Highway 16 and Walsh Avenue.
She adds a stronger than anticipated surplus and grants to improve water mains and sewers is allowing them upgrade Kalum Street between the 2400-2600 block.
She says city staff spend a lot of time updating and adjusting numbers as announcements come in.
The budget is expected to approved by council before the middle of May.
