Northern oriented construction companies IDL Projects Inc. and Peter Brothers Construction Limited were each recognized with Contractor of the Year awards by the Province.
This year’s awards were handed out by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure during a ceremony in Victoria on Friday.
IDL was honoured in the grading category for their extensive four-lane project on Highway 16 between Bunce Road and Blackwater Road.
Peter Brothers Construction took home the award for paving in recognition of their 68 km Kiskatinaw Bridge project on Highway 97 near Dawson Creek.
Each year, the Deputy Minister’s Contractor of the Year Awards honour the achievements of BC contractors across 6 different categories.
