Time is running out to nominate those teachers that had the biggest impact on your life for provincial recognition.
June 30th is the last day to nominate educators and school faculty for the innaugural Premier’s Awards for Excellence in Education.
The awards are intended to recognize the importance of those teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty for their students.
Categories include: community engagement, outstanding new teacher, technology and innovation, diversity and inclusion, Indigenous education, social equity and extracurricular leadership.
On top of those, leadership awards are also available for principles and vice-principles, and support staff are also elligible for their own award.
Winners will receive a 3 thousand dollar personal bursary and 2 thousand dollar school contribution.
A shortlist will be announced in August.
