Weekend wildfires forced the Cariboo Regional District to issue evacuation orders and alerts for most city areas in the northwest portion of the District.
125 Residents are currently under evacuation orders covering nearly 9 thousand square kilometres of land west of Quesnel.
Over 5 thousand residents remain on evacuation alerts in the region across 7 evacuation alerts.
The Narcosli Creek, Shag Creek, and Chutanli Lake wildfires have forced most inhabited areas west of the Fraser River in Quesnel to be under either an evacuation alert or order.
