Two of Canada’s biggest airlines will now offer discounts on flights out of the B.C interior due to the wildfire situation.
West Jet and Air Canada both showed their support by unveiling offers on Sunday.
West Jet is offering a 50 percent discount on flights booked by July 19th for travel up to July 25th from Prince George to other Canadian locations.
The airline will also waive their fee for changes or cancellations for flights in and out of Prince George booked on or before July 9th.
Air Canada will offer a 25% discount on flights between now and July 22nd from towns including Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton, Williams Lake and Prince George to any destination in North America.
Air Canada adds anyone flying to, from or via the affected areas between now and July 22nd can make changes free of charge.
