The Witset First Nation are looking to further solidify their recent name change next month.
Formerly known as Moricetown Band Council, the name change to Witset was made official in October.
The Band is now asking everyone to join them at the Multiplex on May 5th to celebrate the name change.
Changes have already been seen in the community, with various conventions, including the elementary school, already being turned over.
The new name translates to ‘first’ to honour the band’s heritage.
