Terrace RCMP have a 25 year-old woman in custody after a downtown stabbing that happened New Year’s Eve day.
Police say they were called to a report of people climbing onto the roof of a Kalum Street building shortly before 3 p.m.
Reports indicated the group was trying to remove a flag from the building.
When officers got to the scene, they found a group fighting in the alley. One man was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his abdomen, although RCMP say the injury was not life-threatening.
Mounties say Chantille Gray of Terrace is charged with Aggravated Assualt, Mischief, Resist Arrest, and Obstruction.
Gray is expected to appear in court Wednesday. Two other women were arrested and released on a promise to appear in court.
Any witnesses to the stabbing should contact Terrace RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
