The Northwest ski community is coming to the aid of a Terrace man who lost his home to fire over the holidays.
Most skiers and boarders know Ray Mulligan as the friendly face at Shames Mountain who checks their ticket at the hill.
Mulligan and his dogs managed to escape his burning home during frigid temperatures last week, but he lost most of his belongings in the flames.
A Gofundme page has been started to help Ray cope with the financial burden of losing his home and belongings.
So far, the effort has generated nearly $8000 of its $10,000 goal.
