BC’s Passenger Transportation Board is expected to decide Wednesday on an application that would see Greyhound cut its bus services across northern BC.
Greyhound wants to eliminate nine routes, including the stretch of Highway 16 between Prince George and Prince Rupert and Highway 97 from Prince George to Dawson Creek.
The company says increased competition and more public transit have hit ridership and profits hard.
The board held hearings in Prince George, Smithers, Terrace, and Fort St. John in December to hear from residents along the potentially affected routes.
Although the board is expected to decide on the application Wednesday, the decision may not be released publicly right away.
