Heavy snow and wind has left some stretches of Highways 16 and 27 in poor condition.
The transportation ministry has issued travel advisories for both roads due to limited visibility and snow.
The travel advisory is in effect for Highway 16 from Fort Fraser to Bednesti and for Highway 27 between Fort St. James and the junction with Highway 16.
The Nechako Lakes School District canceled its bus routes Thursday morning because of high wind and drifting snow.
Travel is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
