Waters continue to rise in the Bulkley Valley and Nechako Lakes regions.
The BC River Forecast Centre has now issued a flood watch for the Bulkley River and tributaries in the Houston, Smithers, and adjacent regions, including Burns Lake.
Officials have also issued a high streamflow advisory for the Nechako River, including Vanderhoof, the Nautley River and tributaries in the Burns Lake, Fraser Lake, and surrounding area.
A flood warning has been maintained for the Nazko and West Road River along with a flood watch for Baker Creek and streams around Quesnel and Williams Lake, and a high streamflow advisory for the Peace and Prince George areas.
Temperatures are expected to continue to rise today and tomorrow and rivers are expected to continue that steady rise for the next two days as well
The weather is expected to cool by Wednesday, but rain is also in the forecast for many regions, including the southern half of the province.
Current modelling from the River Forecast Centre is indicating the potential for extremely high flows later this week.
The centre will provide an update on conditions this afternoon.
