While levels on the Bulkley River and tributaries have dropped a little, the BC River Forecast Centre says the Smithers and Houston areas aren’t out of the woods just yet.
Centre Head Dave Campbell says hot weather combined with heavy snow will likely mean river levels will climb again into the weekend and next week.
Campbell says there is plenty of snow remaining in the upper elevations, which could fuel more flooding as warm weather continues.
