The City of Prince Rupert will add its voice to a chorus calling on the federal government to intervene in the wake of Greyhound’s decision to end its Northern BC passenger services.
Council voted to write a letter at the request of Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen.
In the meantime, Mayor Lee Brain says progress is being made with the BC government for a solution on providing passenger transportation along Highway 16.
Brian wasn’t able to provide specific details about a recent conference call between northern mayors and the provincial government, but says there is a solution in the works.
Brain says it will be up to the province to announce details about the plan.
