The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has expanded and evacuation alert for an area near the Island Lake wildfire.
Areas now covered by the alert stretch from south of Highway 16 and Fraser Lake to Knapp Lake, and from east of Tercer Lake FSR and the Uncha and Binta Lakes to west of Lily Lake Road and the Holy Cross FSR.
Residents in the effected area are asked to prepare their family and essentials in case an evacuation order is issued.
