August has continued a positive trend for the new BC Bus North Service.
With approximately 900 trips booked with the service to date, ridership has continued to grow in the service’s third month, after registering 450 through July.
The interim service began on June 4th as an impromptu replacement for Greyhound following their departure from the north.
Currently, operators Pacific Western Transportation offer twice-per-week service between Prince Rupert and Prince George, Prince George and Valemont, and Prince George and Fort St John, at 35 or 45 dollars per trip.
Interest in the service continuing to show a positive trend could mean a future exists for the BC Transit service.
