Grade 10 students returning to the classroom this week will be met with a freshly revamped curriculum.
Flexibility, innovation, and creativity are the goals of the new curriculum, which aims to better prepare students for college.
The new focus allows teachers to personalize the course material and gives them the flexibility to better engage all students.
Also included in the new curriculum is a new focus on Indigenous concepts and content, having been incorporated in to all core course content.
The Grade 11 and 12 curriculums are set to follow suit and be revised for September of next year.
