Those wishing to throw their name in the race for local government positions will have until 4:00 this afternoon to do so.
Nomination periods for the 2018 General Local Elections close across BC today, with elections set for October 20th.
New spending restrictions being ushered in for the 2018 races will also come in to play beginning today.
For Terrace, those running for city council will be able to spend up to 5,144 dollars on their campaigns, while those running for the mayor’s office will have 10,289 to spend.
So far, just two residents have put their names forward for the mayoral race; incumbent Carole Leclerc and Dan Nunes.
