Not everyone’s celebrating the LNG Canada announcement.
Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver says his caucus does not support the minority NDP government’s LNG plans.
Weaver says the NDP won’t have the votes to support the regime and will have to work with the Liberals if it wants to move the project foward.
Weaver says he’s deeply disappointed with the tax breaks given to LNG Canada project which will result in a drastic increase in greenhouse gas emissions.
