It’s a reminder for both drivers and pedestrians to pay attention.
Terrace RCMP say two pedestrians were struck by vehicles in separate incidents last Friday.
A man was hit by a car Friday night while crossing the road near Highway 16 and Highway 37. The pedestrian showed signs of intoxications and was taken to hospital for what appeared to be minor injuries.
Earlier in the day, a woman in a wheelchair told police a car struck her leg as she was crossing at Sparks Street and Lakelse Avenue.
The driver, when spoken to by police, said he didn’t realize his vehicle had made contact with the woman.
