Police have identified Terrace resident Cameron Kerr as the victim of a fatal hit and run from Sunday.
Kerr was well known in Terrace and the surrounding communities for his athletic pursuits as a long time member of the Terrace River Kings as well as an active paddler.
Cameron’s brother Garrett took to the podium today to plead for those who may have any information regarding his brother’s death to come forward.
Kerr’s body was discovered in a ditch along Highway 16 roughly 4 kms west of Terrace at around noon on Sunday.
RCMP believe he was travelling eastbound along the highway when he was struck and killed by a truck travelling the opposite direction.
Thanks to tips from the public, police have been able to identify the vehicle which struck Kerr as a 2011 to 2016 Ford F350 pick-up.
Police believe the incident to have taken place between 3:00 and 7:00 Sunday morning.
