A boil water advisory issued for Prince Rupert has been extended indefinitely.
Residents should expect the advisory to last at least another week, as the City has sent samples to Vancouver for testing that could not be performed locally.
These tests normally require a minimum of three days, but the holiday season and journey to Vancouver will likely result in a longer wait for the results.
While the advisory is in effect, residents are asked to boil all water for at least one minute prior to consumption or use.
This includes water used for cooking, washing dishes and food, brushing teeth, and more.
