Tomorrow will mark 3 weeks since a boil water advisory was originally issued for Prince Rupert, and there remains no end in sight.
Northern Health continues to conduct regular tests of the water, but must receive multiple clean results in a row before the advisory can be lifted.
Until that time, residents must boil all water intended for consumption for at least one minute before use.
This includes water used for drinking, cooking, washing food, brushing teeth, and more.
Currently, the City has no way to remove cryptosporidium of gardia parasites from their supply, forcing them to continue to play the waiting game.
